1. Install Cydia, icy or Rock (With Spirit this step can be skipped as it is installed in the JB process.)
2. After you have installed cydia open it let it load and restart then open it back up and search for winterboard. Winterboard is an application that allows you to customize your iphone, eg. themes, wallpapers, sounds images and all that jazz
3. once you have that taken care of It is time to ad sources to cydia, here is how:
1.open cydia go to Manage (at the bottom)
2. Got to sources and click Edit (on the top right)
3. Then click add a blue box will appear with a search bar then type these in exactly as they appear.
http://cydia.hackulo.us/ (you can omit the http:// part b/c it will appear in the search box automatically)
http://repo.beyouriphone.com/
http://cydia.xsellize.com/
http://apt.123locker.com/
http://www.sinfuliphonerepo.com/
http://cy.sosiphone.com/
With these sources added you can now add w/e you want from them as long as it is compatible with your device.
Some recommendations would be: (search for these in cydia)
Installous (from the hackulo.us repo, You need to get this to get/install all apps of the free appstore)
BossPaper(Like winterboard this allows customization of your device.)
Five icon dock ( with ios4 this will cause unstable system it is not recommended)
ibluetooth or ibluenova ( unlocks the bluetooth in your device, letting you transfer files through bluetooth.)
iSpazio Dockflow (there is one for iphone and one for itouch get the right one)
NES 3 (5.99 from saurik or free from xsellize but it is worth the 5.99 and it is good to support the guy who makes cydia possible.)
Nes ROMs Package 1
OpenSSH ( you will need this along with an ssh client (winscp for windows or cyberduck for mac) for your computer to install third party apps) if you need help with this, youtube it or ask me I will be glad to help.
4. Now that all that is out of the way you can get some 3rd party .ipa's (applications) and put them on your phone. Note the ihelp24/7 blog or its affiliates do not condone the use of "cracked apps" Please refrain from asking about them here.
Here is a great site for those. http://apptrackr.org/ once you find an app you want on this website download it (click on the app and find the download area) once it is on your computer you can ssh it into your ipod/iphone. Make sure you put it in this directory. private/var/mobile/Library/Downloads or private/var/mobile/documents/installous/downloads. You can do this on your device using installous but it takes hella long time to download the app if your wifi is slow.
If you have any questions let me know, this should be more than enough to get you started. and if there is anything you want to do with your jailbreak just ask me or google it, most likely it will be on there.
i will be giving you, all the possible sources in cydia in my next post .........
